Aims & Objective

INTRODUCTION TO IRILMM

The Institute, registered as a society under societies registration act XXI of 1860, on 8^th August 1997, to fulfill the long felt need of a national body which would specialize on Logistics and Materials Management in the area of transport in general and Railways in particular. The Institute has been founded by professional material managers belonging to the Indian Railways Stores Services (IRSS), with the sole objective of spreading the knowledge in the relevant fields and enabling everyone associated with the transport industry to achieve excellence in the field, with all round efficiency, quality and economy.
